Placement

For both academic and social reasons, the staff feels strongly that the students in each class
should be of a similar age and grade level.  While exceptions will be made when
circumstances require, the following are the ages and secular school grades it deems
appropriate for the different classes in the Hebrew School.

                                              2007-2008 School Year
  • Katon Ton (2 year program) must be age 3 by October 1, 2007, and toilet trained.
  • Gan should be in kindergarten in secular school.
  • Alef should be in the first grade.
  • Bet should be in the second grade.
  • Gimel should be in third grade.
  • Dalet should be in fourth grade.
  • Hay should be in fifth grade.
  • Vav should be in sixth grade.
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah should be in seventh grade.
  • Hebrew High 8 should be in the eighth grade.
  • Hebrew High 9 should be in the ninth grade.
  • Hebrew High 10 should be in the tenth grade.
  • Hebrew High 11 should be in the eleventh grade.
  • Hebrew High 12 should be in the twelfth grade.
